1st Grade made their own crayons today after reading the books "The Day the Crayons Came Home" and " The Day The Crayons Quit" in Art Class.

HS Staff of the month is Tonya Medrano. She continues to do amazing things for our district and our students. She works hard for our students and continues to build good relationships. We makes learning fun. We are lucky to have her in our district.

HS students of the month are Stajia Dohogne and Eldon Leighty. These two students have went above and beyond this past month. They continue to demonstrate great character, integrity, and leadership skills in and out of the classroom.

MS students of the Month are Kai Calkins and Joseph Estes. These two students have went above and beyond this month inside and outside the classroom. Showing kindness, building leadership skills, and demonstrating excellent character strengths. 💜

MS Staff of the month is Mandy Michaelis. Mandy is one of many talents! She has been at USD 215 for many years and we are lucky to have her. She is kind, a great teacher, and amazing at building relationships. She is an excellent co-worker and always willing to help out. 💜

These kids sang well for MS league today! For most of them this was their first competition. They did a great job and received a 2 rating.
Also, Joseph Estes sang a solo and received a 1 rating.
HUGE thanks to everyone who helped us today as we hosted this competition!

The Middle School Band outdid themselves today and performed well in League Music Contest. They played two songs in front of three judges and received the scores of 1, 1, and 2. Job well done bandies!

Huge shout out to LHS senior Leo Shelden. Leo goes to GCCC Mon-Thurs afternoons and takes part in the carpentry program free to high school students . He is getting college credit, earning industry certifications, and learning skills that will benefit him for a lifetime.


Our community talent show is just around the corner. We have spots open if you want to showcase your talents! Mr. Watson will open the stage from 4:30-6:00 PM for open rehearsals tonight and Wednesday. Please email mitchell.watson@usd215.org and he will let you in to practice.
