I'm super excited about our K-6 after school program pilot that will start next week. We have 41 kids signed up. It will be housed at the LMS Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday with various activities planned. Wednesday we will take kids to the bowling alley. Transportation will be provided to the LMS and the bowling alley. Please plan to have your child picked up at those locations by 5:30 each day. We have had an outpouring of support and will continue to take donations for snacks and money to pay the $3/kid it will cost for bowling each week. I apologize for the confusion on this as we have been working to define what we can do with respect to an after-school program and how best to do it. We will start next week, Monday 3/27. It will be housed at the Lakin Middle School, we will start every day in the commons area. It will be ran everyday from 3:30-5:30 Monday through Thursday. If we don't have school a certain day we won't have the after school program. Transportation, via school buses, will be provided for our K-4 kids to the Lakin Middle School. If you have multiple students that will attend, you will need to fill out a form for each one. Please fill out the enrollment and additional questions below. This will be free to the K-6 students. We are working on what snacks each day will look like. We have had a gracious contributor in Lakin Dairy who has agreed to donate some funds for products.
