We went to the FHSU Math Relays today! Using Number Sense Freshmen (Tyler Johnson, Paxton Jones, Kate Miller)-10th Informal Geometry, Measurement Freshmen-9th Juniors (Aryn Michaelis, Emma Miller Blake Walker)-8th Applications of Algebra, Arithmetic Freshmen-5th Juniors-5th

LHS students attended Exploration Day at GCCC yesterday! They explored four programs of their choice and learned about potential careers in those fields. I didn’t get many pictures, but a lot of fun was had! We even saw some LHS alum showing off their skills. Congrats to Keith Yousey, he won a $500 scholarship to GCCC.

Thank you to American Implement in Garden City for hosting LHS students at your Open House. Our students enjoyed learning about the Full Throttle Apprenticeship — an excellent opportunity for their future!

*Special Visitor Alert* Today we had the honor of welcoming U.S. Senator Jerry Moran to Lakin High School. Senator Moran toured our school and spent time visiting with our students and staff. We are very thankful for his time and interest in the great things happening at LHS!

Mrs. Richmeier's 1st grade class had the best attendance with 99.4% in October. Thank you Flashbacks for treating them to ice cream! 🍦
