Kansas Walk of Fame at LGS

LHS Forensics had an AMAZING day at the Ashland Bluejay Forensics Invitational! We brought home our 5th Team Sweeps Award of the year by bringing home 2nd Place!
We had 15 total entries and 12 of which made Finals! We also had 6 more State Championship Qualifiers!
Camden Bergkamp placed 2nd in Poetry (Qualified for State Champs) and 4th in Original Oration. He has now qualified for State Champs in 6 different events!!
Abby Holmes placed 1st in POI (Qualified for State Champs) in her first time doing this event, and also placed 6th in Informative!
Cheyenne Grusing placed 4th in Informative (Qualified for State Champs)
Cheyenne Grusing and Maelee Katz placed 2nd in IDA (Qualified for State Champs)
Luca Roman placed 3rd in Original Oration (Qualified for State Champs) and also 6th in Poetry!
Isaac Bradford placed 5th in Informative (Qualified for State Champs)
Jarrod Hilger placed 3rd in Serious Solo and 4th in Prose!
Blake Matthews placed 6th in POI!
Our last regular season tournament is April 13 at Minneola!

We had an amazing day at the 2nd Annual Lakin JAG-K Career Fair! Our students had the opportunity to connect with so many incredible local businesses, learn about different career paths, and gain valuable insight into their futures.

Congratulations to our March Students of the Month! We want to recognize 6th grader McCoy Hendricks, 7th grader Luke Miller, and 8th grader Dylan Wozencraft for earning March Student of the Month honors. These outstanding students were selected for demonstrating excellence in academic achievement, respect and responsibility, strong work ethic, and exceptional character and kindness.
