After a State Forensics send-off, Spring Fling games commenced. Activities included water balloon dodgeball, movies, bowling (thanks to Judy Anderson), slip n slide, wiffle ball, and yard games.
LHS 2024 Spring Fling Talent Show had some awesome talent. The winners, Moral Compass, performed Buddy Holly and ended the show with Enter Sandman.
Congratulations to Kenzi Wilson. She was selected as the Kansas Governor's Scholar for Lakin High School. The Governor’s Scholars Program recognizes outstanding graduating seniors who finish in the top one percent of their high school graduating class.
LHS had their Academic/Activities Assembly this morning! We celebrated All-League and Honorable Mention Academics, Triple Crown Award, Trifecta Awards, Senior Awards, and Top Senior Athlete Awards. We could not be more proud of our students at LHS. It's Always a Great Day to be a Bronc.

Wrapped up JV golf yesterday in Hugoton. Warren did a fantastic job his first year of golf. Not only did he compete all season, he always had a great attitude.

This week's guest speaker was former student Brock Pauda. He talked to my students about supplemental insurance and his career as a sales associate with Platinum. He gave great advice about sales, cold calls, team meetings, leadership, and how you get out of life what you put in.
Congrats to Zander Luna, Jara Davidson, and Ivy Davis! They are the 2024 recipients of the Joshua Skipton Memorial Scholarship. Zander plans to attend Colby Community College, Jara plans to attend McPherson College, and Ivy plans to attend FHSU in the fall.

Congrats to Cadence Brown! She is the 2024 recipient of the Joseph Randolph Memorial Scholarship. She plans to attend Fort Hays State University in the fall and major in exercise science.
GCCC advisors to the rescue! Thank you for coming to LHS and helping our seniors enroll for classes next fall. We also had advisors help with college enrollment night for sophomores and juniors last night.

LMS competed today at the Haskell County Relays.
Crazy day for broncs golf. Team tied for 1st place and lost playoff. But the bright thing about the day, we had another first under my coaching career. For first time had 4 kids in the top 10. Kevin 3rd Noah 5th Maddux 6th and Brayson 8th. Super proud of these boys. On to next.
