LHS Physical Science class built cars with an egg passenger to demonstrate their knowledge of Newton's Laws of Motion. Only 1 egg "life" was lost today.

Last night the LMS Lady Broncs brought home two wins from Wichita Co. We can't wait to see how the year progresses.
High School Video Production has been testing out lighting by using colored foreground lighting, fog, and a regular LED light to light up subjects.
Congratulations to Brian Romero! He participated in the GC3 Tire Rodeo today. He won first-place with a time of 1 minute 43 seconds and his class/team walked away with team overall first place!! Way to represent LHS!
Lakin FFA went to OPSU today for several Career Development Events including Electricity, Horse Evaluation, Land, Entomology, Farm Business & Management, Livestock, and Trap Shooting. I didn't get pictures of everything, but got a few. The students had a great experience!

When students read BOOKS, they are being exposed to complex sentences, text structure, proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation, among other things. When on social media, they are exposed to incorrect use of language, which leads to the decline in reading skills. #READ2getBETTER
Something to ponder from the English teacher...when kids get into high school sports they usually practice approx. 2 hrs a day M-F. WHY? Why practice if they already know how to play? To get better and not lose their skills. THAT is why they need to READ at HOME. #READ2getBETTER
