🎃👻 First Grade Blacklight Art Day! Last week, our first graders got to enjoy a fun blacklight day in art! They decorated their very own ghost pumpkins that glowed bright under the lights just in time for Halloween! Such a fun and creative way to celebrate the spooky season!

🐢✨ Kindergarten had a blast during Black Light Day in Art! Our classroom was glowing as students decorated their very own turtle shells with all kinds of bright patterns and designs. 💡🎨 The creativity was shining—literally! 🌈💫

☀️🎨 Our second graders have been busy creating beautiful folk art suns! They explored the difference between warm and cool colors to make their artwork shine bright. 🌈 Each sun is full of personality and color — just like our amazing students! 💛💜

A huge congratulations to our Lakin Middle School Activities Director Jacy Holloway for being recognized as staff of the month. Your leadership, dedication, and commitment to our students inspire excellence both on and off the field. Thank you for all the time, energy, and heart you put into making our program's successful.

Lakin Bronc Activities - Tuesday, November 4th: HS Scholars Bowl at SWH @ 4:00 PM

State XC was a great weekend! The boys' team finished sixth overall, missing fifth place by just one point. They all raced exceptionally well, with Zael Bermudaz having a standout day. He broke into the top ten, placing eighth in the state with an impressive personal record of 16:39. This achievement has established him as one of Lakin's fastest runners, recording the seventh fastest time for a Lakin boy at the state meet! The girls also had a remarkable day. Emma clocked a time of 21:30, almost a full minute faster than her previous run on that course. Kate Miller brought home a medal by finishing in 16th place with a time of 20:18, marking her second-fastest time of the year. It's definitely noteworthy that Kate set the school record with her run at Rim Rock! Overall, it was a fantastic day, though it’s a bit bittersweet as it marks the end of the season. What a year for the Broncs, and we can’t wait for next year!(Also we were late getting a team photo so we missed Tyler Johnson who had left for the day already)
