6th grade had a blast launching rockets this morning!
LMS Track and Field ended their very successful season at the HPL meet at Sublette on Monday. Both boys teams were team champions as well as the 7th grade girls. The 8th grade girls finished second in the league.
The lemonade stands are open for business! Proceeds go to the Leave a Legacy Foundation supporting cancer patients at the Heartland Cancer Center in Garden City.

Even though Gisele has been recognized for this earlier this year, she continues to support her fellow classmates and provide kindness towards students in need! Gisele was nominated by Ms. Garvey.
Horticulture students finished up their year learning about floral design and created a floral arrangement to give to their mom's on Mother's Day.
Final day of Sports Physicals & concussion testing completed today! Over the two offered days 237 physicals were done and at least 95% of our students completed a baseline concussion screening done for safety in case of an accident on campus or sports related. Without the partnership from the Kearny County Hospital we would not have been able to provide this FREE service for our students. We are tremendously lucky to have a medical facility so willing to come to the aid of the students of Lakin. Thank you is not enough!!
Shout out to Mr. Kenny Waechter for coming and giving some talks to our 7th graders as they learn and explore Kansas History.
