Animal Science kids worked on learning the female anatomy of pregnant bovine, sheep and swine uterus's by dissecting them today! They did a great job!

Lakin Baseball gets the sweep against Elkhart, 6-1 and 7-0 in the home opener. Great way to honor Coach Davidson with the dedication of Steve Davidson Field and the retirement of his number. S/O to Bret Hendrix for helping putting it together and D-Bach Metal for the sign.
It was a very tough day for the boys. We only had 1 placer. Noah Garcia placed 2nd earning him three straight top 5 finishes. Our boys are learning and improving each day. On to Ulysses next Tuesday!!!!
The plants in the greenhouse are growing fast! We will have information out soon about Spring Sales!
We are starting to calculate the volume of unusual shapes in Calculus.
Also, we cut honeycomb balls to get good visuals on unusual shapes revolving around an axis.
We built Gumball Slides in Geometry!

HS T&F HPL Pre-League Meet @Sublette
Was a struggle today for the kids but they didn't give up and still battled. Team didn't place but Brayson Hoover finished 14th and Noah Garcia won the green jacket for the second straight year. Kids will continue to get better and next tournament is tomorrow in Goodland!!!!!

Horticulture classes were busy the past 2 weeks planting in the greenhouse. We planted, Petunias, Marigolds, Vincas, Dusty Miller, Sweet Potato Vine, Geraniums, Coleus, Rose Moss, Verbena, Jalapeños, Anaheim Peppers, and Tomatoes.
FREE Sports Physicals are coming up next month. This year we are doing things a little different. Please get the completed form back to your students office ASAP so we can be organized for the Kearny County Hospital. Forms can be found online, with a spring coach, or in the offices of the middle & high school.
