Yesterday, the Lakin High School Band traveled to Scott City to take part in the 2nd Annual Beaver Band Festival! The students marched and performed their show with great energy and pride, representing Lakin incredibly well. Their hard work and dedication really showed on the field.
If you missed their performance, you’ll have another chance to see them in action as they’ll be marching their show this Friday during the halftime of the football game! Come out and cheer them on as they continue to make Broncs proud!

Brenda's last day as a Lakin Middle School Secretary is today. She has been with the school district for over 20 years! We wish her the best in her retirement!
Lakin Middle School 4-H students talked to the entire middle school student body about 4-H and what it has to offer. Parents your LMS kids are bringing home sign up papers if they are interested. 4-H offers many hands-on and fun activities that help your kids learn and grow.
Apply Kansas 2026 -- The future is bright for the LHS Class of 2026.
LHS Seniors participated in Apply Kansas Days (Oct. 6-8) and are truly taking charge of their future. Seniors had the opportunity to apply to Kansas colleges for FREE. Thank you to Melanie Hands from GCCC for helping. We are so excited to see where these seniors go!

LHS Juniors and Seniors had the opportunity to attend the College Planning Conference at GCHS. Students were able to speak with representatives of 30+ colleges. These students gained valuable information that will help them make those big life decisions. Thank you GCHS for hosting.
What a huge night for Lady Bronc Volleyball! We had our Play Pink Night where we raised $ for a very special Lakinite, we celebrated our 2 amazing seniors, Sara and Jordan, we congratulated Jordan on reaching 1,000 career assists, AND we were named HPL Regular season champs!
