Congrats to our LHS Male Student of the Month Adrian Arreola. Adrian is a Sr. and his favorite subject is Math. Adrian's future plans are to attend Kansas State and become a mechanical engineer. This is Adrian's 2nd time to win our Student of the Month award. Congrats!

Congratulations to our March LHS Female student of the month Jara Davidson! Jara is a Sophomore and her favorite subject is Math. Her future plans are to go to college and become an accountant. Congrats JARA!

Thursday's Kingman Sub State BB Information:
Welcome to the 2nd Round of 3A Sub-State Basketball at Kingman.
Schedule:
Hugoton vs. Holcomb - 6pm
Holcomb will be the home team (white) and sit on the right side of the court, southside.
Chaparral vs. Lakin - 7:30pm
Lakin will be the home team (white) and sit on the right side of the court, southside.
Introductions for both games - Welcome to Kingman followed by the National Anthem and then the starting line up.
Streaming - We will be streaming the games through NFHSNetwork
Tickets - $7 for Adult and $5 for Students
Pep Buses - Please communicate with me ahead of time if pep buses are traveling.
Student Sections - I will label sections for fans and student sections. Student sections for Hugoton and Chaparral will be on the north end of the gymnasium. Student sections for Holcomb and Lakin will be in the southwest corner, behind their respective bench.
Sub-State t-Shirts - I have them and will hand them out when you arrive.

The 2022 Quiz Bowl season is complete. It wasn’t our best meet, but will still accomplished a few of our goals. It is great to see these kids gain confidence throughout the season! Great group of kids! A big thanks to the Hilger’s for the beautiful cookies and yummy pizza!


FFA competed in 2 Career Development Events this morning in Ulysses for Agronomy and Vet Science. Students demonstrated how to put on a halter, ID tools, breeds, math & general knowledge; plant & seed ID, grain analysis, grain grading, and more.

Lady Broncs fall to Holcomb tonight in the first round of sub state. They finished the season 10-11. With no seniors on they team, there is a lot to look forward to next year!

FFA students enjoyed the day learning about jobs & opportunities in agriculture including agronomy, cotton, safety, & educational colleges with NWKTS, SCCC, Pratt CC, & FHSU. Thank you to Skyland Grain for hosting this event.

HS boys beat Larned 62-26 in the first round of sub state tonight. The Broncs will play Chaparral on Thursday in Kingman at 7:30 PM.

It was perfect weather for the first day of track practice! LMS is off to a strong start.
