Congrats to Taegan Bachman and AnneSophie VanDerKnaap. They received scholarships from the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas. Taegan was awarded the Jaris J. Slaton Memorial Scholarship. Sophie was awarded the Marvin Z. and Floris J. Hampton Family Fund Scholarship.

HPL League Champion 7th grade Track Team
LHS Forensics finished the day strong with many students getting the top rating of I at State Festival. Congratulate these students when you see them!
Tanner Tarpley is the 8th grade HPL 100 Hurdle Champion.
The 8th grade HPL 4x100 and 4x200 relay champions - Jesse Lancaster, Quinn Norris, Cash Douglass, and Tanner Tarpley
Honey Murillo is the 7th grade 100 and 200 Hurdle HPL Champion .
Maleigha Budd is the 7th grade HPL Shot Put Champion with a throw of 30 feet 3 inches and the Triple Jump Champion with a jump of 30 feet 8 inches.

It was a fantastic day to host a track meet. It takes a village and we greatly appreciate all who came out to work the meet and support our athletes. Next up...Hi-Plains League meet hosted in Lakin next Friday.
LHS Track and Field compete in Home Meet
Boys played outstanding today at Johnson. Kids shot 320 and was best score as a team in my 5 year career. Couldn't be more proud of the kids and the strides they've made. Kevin Tanner won and maddux Beltran got 3rd. Great day to be a Bronc
