Daryan Edgington, Bly Gosch, Eldon Leighty and Cooper Groth got 6th place at the GCCC welding competition yesterday. These boys put in a lot of time after school-practice last week to prepare for the competition. Proud of these boys! #getBETTER




LMS competed at the Cimarron Invitational today. The athletes competed very well against the tough competition. The 7th grades girls team placed 1st, the 8th grade girls placed 2nd, and both boys teams finished 4th out of 10.

Shout out to this 2020 LHS graduate William Gilleland for making his debut speaking appearance for Mrs. Hill's class! William talked about life after high school and the pros and cons of going to college. He did an outstanding job describing his career at OneOk!

The junior class was treated to a steak lunch yesterday as a reward for raising the LHS average ACT score by 1 point. This is the largest increase we have had in recent years. Huge thank you to The Stampede, Tyson, and Cottonwood Coffeehouse for helping to make it happen.

Yesterday JV Boys Golf played really well at Syracuse. They battled the wind and some really good competition.

Three Lakin Middle School athletes set new meet records at The Wichita County Track Meet on Monday. Aryn Michaelis set the 8th grade girls triple jump record at 33 feet, Jesse Lancaster set the 8th grade boys pole vault record at 8'6, and Aydyn Holloway set the record for 7th grade boys triple jump at 33'5.75.


Congratulations to Edan White!! He is the recipient of the Kearny County Conservation District Scholarship. He will be attending Northwest Technical College in Goodland next year and majoring in Precision Agriculture.

In Physics we built small hovercrafts and then we played with the big hovercraft!

Southwest District FFA Banquet tonight. Orinn Norris had an amazing year representing the SW District as the Vice President.









JV softball goes 1-0 on the night. Varsity goes 0-2 losing the 2nd one by 1 in the bottom of the 7th. Lots of things learned and lots of things done well. We will be back in action Thursday at 4:00 against SWH at home. #gB




Bronc golf played well again today at Ulysses. Team finished 2nd place and we had 2 kids finish inside the top 10. Kevin finished 3rd and Cole finished 6th. Guys are improving every week. Back in action Friday in Scott City
