2023 XC camp day one off to a good start: had a Q/A with pro runner Linsey Herman and custom shoe fit, did 4.5-7.5 mile trail run along river, and finished with hearing from upperclassman about goals and vision for the season!

Faculty of Lakin USD 215 have spent the last 2 days working on 8 to Great for our SEL curriculum to help improve the lives of our students and ourselves. We can't wait to see the changes we are going to make this School Year!!

Big s/o to Coach Kirby for completing his final training session in KC today. He is officially JAG certified. We are excited to add this course at the HS this fall.

This summer, some of our Lakin HS band students went over and played in the GC municipal Band. This last Friday was their last one. Mr. Shawn Martin, one of Lakin's passed directors, got to direct the last concert. Among current Lakin students were alumni, Keysha Harris, and recently retired teacher, Mr. Thompson.
Had a great time at the EPIC Educators Conference in Wichita the last two days. Big thanks to these HS teachers for taking time out of their summer to getBETTER. Pretty sure we won all the door prizes too.
LHS Football
Lady Bronc Softball played a Double Header in Goodland today. Lots of softball played, lots of learning, and most importantly lots of fun. Good things are happening in Lady Bronc Softball. #getBETTER
WOW! What a week for Lady Bronc VB!! It started with a 2-day camp here in Lakin, then 16 girls put in 2 amazing days of work at the University of Tulsa, 7 freshmen put in a day of work at the LMS home tourney, and then we ended it up with our annual morning of horseback riding!!
LMS Volleyball was in action today. Five Lakin teams played in our home tournament! I am so proud of the girls for putting in the time to get better!! Lakin Black won the gold championship and Lakin Gray won the silver championship!! It was a great day!
