On Thursday and Friday half of our 8th graders traveled to Colorado Springs for the first 8th grade promotional trip. We went to Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, a trampoline park, got a tour of the cadet area at the United States Air Force Academy, and finished out our time at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. Students did not have to attend, but if they wanted to, they had to meet certain requirements in regard to their academics as well as their character. With this being the first time ever doing something like this, it was a complete success!
Thank you Ms. Kayla Calkins for organizing all of the details and logistics. Thank you Mr. Cody Calkins for saying yes and for being our fearless bus driver! Thank you to all of the staff, sponsors, parents and business that helped in a variety of ways to make it a success! A special shout out to Lakin Group, The Agency, Inc. and Pioneer Communications for donating to this trip!
School is almost out and the greenhouse plants need a home!
