Recently, our Lakin Middle School students had the opportunity to get their Hunter Safety Certification. We would like to thank the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks for donating their time to make this happen.

This one hurts, but what a run! This group went 22-2, won the HPL Tournament, HPL regular season, sub state championship and advanced to the state tournament for the first time in 23 years. Huge s/o to the community of Lakin for showing out in Hutch tonight! #getBETTER





Horticulture classes have been learning about plant responses to stimuli. They finished up a lab before Spring Break on gravitropism, also known as geotropism, with corn seeds. They watched how the radicle responded throughout the week.



Happy (early) Pi Day!
Our Pi Day celebrations included learning some math history, learning about NASA, and eating cheesecake.


Congratulations to Elitza Fonseca!! She is the 2025 recipient of the City of Lakin Vo-tech Scholarship. She will be attending Garden City Community College in the fall and majoring in cosmetology.
