🎶 Tonight, our 7th and 8th graders played into new territory as they joined the high school pep band for the basketball game! 🎺🎷 They helped drum up some school spirit and struck the right chord with the crowd. 🎶 so fun to see them step into this new role.

We started learning about light refraction in Physics.

LHS Basketball vs Elkhart at Lakin today (revised)
The LMS Lady Broncs played Syracuse Bulldogs tonight. A team finished with a win. B team battled back and made an exciting game but didn't snag the win. Both teams will play on Saturday in Lakin for the start of the HPL tournament.
We tried something new tonight! The 6th grade band, with some of the 7th and 8th grade band, and some high school helpers, played tonight at the MS basketball games! They were nervous but loved playing in front of a new crowd! Great job guys! Catch the 7-12th grade bands tomorrow night at the HS games!

Alex Robles has taken a great deal of PRIDE in his work for Mrs. Wright as of late. He has gone above and beyond in his work as it has been on time, legible and has even added additional information. Keep up the great work!
Freshmen and sophomores beat the juniors and seniors for the reading initiative contest in English. The classes who read the most books and reached the map on the wall by filling out book summaries, were declared winners. The students who participated received a pizza party.
Horticulture students spent some time in the greenhouse investigating traits of leaves. They measured blade length, identified leaf shapes, and vein types to better understand plant physiology.

Yesterday the forensics team participated in their first meet of the season in Hugoton. Overall the team received 3rd place. This year they are being coached by Taylin Ansel. Individual placements:
