First practice of the year is a wrap. The Lady Broncs started with a 6:00 am practice and ended the evening working concessions during the middle school basketball ball games. Girls had a great practice and worked their tails off to finish the night.

Today is opening day! Come support the theatre department and its dedicated students for the production of “The Outsiders”! Pick a day (or two or three), invite a friend, and come see what our students have been working tirelessly on! During the short intermission, snacks and water will be sold. Profits go back into the theatre department.

We went to the FHSU Math Relays today! Using Number Sense Freshmen (Tyler Johnson, Paxton Jones, Kate Miller)-10th Informal Geometry, Measurement Freshmen-9th Juniors (Aryn Michaelis, Emma Miller Blake Walker)-8th Applications of Algebra, Arithmetic Freshmen-5th Juniors-5th

LHS students attended Exploration Day at GCCC yesterday! They explored four programs of their choice and learned about potential careers in those fields. I didn’t get many pictures, but a lot of fun was had! We even saw some LHS alum showing off their skills. Congrats to Keith Yousey, he won a $500 scholarship to GCCC.

Thank you to American Implement in Garden City for hosting LHS students at your Open House. Our students enjoyed learning about the Full Throttle Apprenticeship — an excellent opportunity for their future!
