Congratulations to Mrs. Thompson, She is our 2021-2022 LMS Staff of the Quarter for the first nine weeks. Mrs. Thompson has been in education 16 years, 8 of that in Lakin where she has taught ⅚ math and science. She works extremely hard every day for her kids and cares deeply about all students. She loves the new challenge everyday and learning from the kids. She has also recently volunteered to serve on the LMS Building Leadership Team and is part of the USD 215 District Leadership Team. She is married to Dustin Thompson and loves teaching in her hometown and showing her Bronc Pride. Please help me recognize Mrs. Thompson as our first nine weeks Staff of the Quarter. Keep up the great work Mrs. Thompson!!

Greetings USD 215 Families: We hope this message finds you well! As we approach the Thanksgiving Break, we have been thinking about and are so thankful for the many successes of our students during this school year. They continue to make us so proud because of their focus, dedication, work ethic, and resiliency. In this season of reflection and gratitude, we also wanted to take a moment to simply and sincerely say “Thank You!” for everything you have done, are doing, and will continue to do to help and support our students, our teachers, and our school community. We hope that you and your family have a safe, fulfilling, and restful break. Gratefully, Cody Calkins 620-355-6973

Animal Science students are learning about biosecurity by simulating many animals drinking from a water tank, transferring germs from one farm to another with dirty boots, and how germs accumulate on touched surfaces. They are growing the germs in a Petri dish!
