📣 Shout out to the LMS Cheer Team! These athletes work hard, bring the spirit, and many are dual-sport athletes balancing cheer with other commitments. So much respect for all they do on and off the sidelines!

We used reaction times to calculate the average rate of change of position in Physics.

In Geometry, we used magna-tiles to talk about polyhedrons and nets.

Huge shoutout to Nurse Jess and Toby for helping us bring the Biblioburro experience to Lakin Grade School!
Our first graders just finished reading Waiting for the Biblioburro as part of a unit on how children around the world access books. Today, they got to see the story come to life in the most amazing way and even got to choose a book from the cart to keep!
Thank you to everyone who helped make this unforgettable experience possible!

A delicious representation of the periodic table of elements. It a labor of love.... Mrs. Thompson labors and the 6th grader love it!

Thank you Coach Bamberger for leading a book club at LGS! These boys are excited to learn about the historical football season at Smith Center.

Thank you Golden Plains Credit Union on being our first Hometown Hello. We appreciate you welcoming our students into school!

Thank you to all the community members that allowed LHS to help out! Another successful Community Service Day. #2025

Mr. Groth and Mrs. Torres senior advisory class worked hard today at their last community service day. Very proud of their hard work! They worked at the grade school fixing up the library court yard and layed rock around a community member's flower bed.

Mrs Wright's advisory class helped the Kearny County Museum and Armstrong Custom Cattle Services during our Community Service by cleaning up the Big Red Barn, historical displays, sidewalks, and other things. We also pulled weeds and removed unwanted debris. We filled a whole dumpster with weeds! 🤠

Sophomores worked hard at community service today! This group assisted Mr. Hayzlett, Mrs. Hill, and Bank of the Plains with yard work and shed cleanup.
