Big day for the Broncs at the OU Team Camp. We went 2-1 with a loss to a really good Fort Worth Christian team and wins against Little River and Upside Athletics out of Houston. Great experience vs some really good competition. Excited for the rest of the weekend.




S/o to Okarche HS for allowing us to use their amazing facilities today. BIG THANKS to the Kirby fam for the hospitality and treating us dinner. We got to eat at Eischen's from Diners, Drive Ins and Dives.The boys ate NINE whole chickens. Excited for OU Team Camp tomorrow.




The high school track teams participated in the all-class state track and field meet in Wichita's Stadium.
Lakin's 4×100-meter relay team won the ultimate prize, a gold medal. The team of freshman Amari Esquibel, sophomore Alyssa Edgington, junior Grace Ostberg and senior Erin Urie won in 49.73 seconds. Larned finished second in 49.89 seconds.
Edgington placed fifth in Friday's pole vault competition, clearing 10 feet. Winning height was 11-6. On Saturday, Edgington finished fourth in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 15.94 seconds. Winning time was 14.97.
Urie placed sixth in Saturday's 100-meter dash, finishing in 12.82 seconds. Winning time was 12.19.
Anne Sophie Van Der Knaap just missed out of the medals in the high jump. The senior placed ninth, clearing with 5-0. Winning jump was 5-6.
The girls finished 13th overall in Class 3A with 21.5 points. The boys scored 14 points to finish 20th.
Colter Oldham placed in two field events. The sophomore set a personal record in the shot put, throwing 57-0.75 to finish third. On Saturday, Oldham finished fourth in the discus, throwing 165-5.
Ross Rider placed sixth in the triple jump, leaping 42-11. Winning jump was 43-11. On Friday, Rider placed tenth in the long jump, His best jump was 19-1.75.
Alex Luce ran in two events. Friday morning,
he set a personal record of 10:06.08 in the 3200-meter placing ninth. On Saturday, the sophomore set a personal record in the 1600 meter run. He clocked in at 4:37.63, good enough for tenth. day's finals in 49.73 seconds.

LHS Softball got to attend the WCWS for the 2nd Year in a Row and it did not disappoint. It is always fun to be able to give these girls these experiences. They had a blast and learn so much from watching.🥎

Finishing up our first full day of FFA State Convention yesterday. Session 1 was amazing and we got to hear speeches from the new State Officer Candidates and see our Southwest District representative take 1st place at State in Creed Speaking from Stanton County! We finished the long day with some fun at the trampoline park.


Had a blast with these boys this week. Big thanks to Flashbacks, Wagon Wheel and Cottonwood Coffeehouse for donating prizes for camp.
