The broncs are regional champs. Ending a 14 year drought and headed to Emporia next week. In addition we had two kids place top 5. Noah Garcia in 5th place and Kevin Tanner your regional champion. It's a pretty cool feeling and all the hard work these kids have put in is amazing

Greetings LMS Guardians and 6th and 7th grade students,
Please review the information below and then visit with your son/daughter about next year and what their schedule could be or any insight you have in helping them make the right choices on their electives. I will share all of this information with you again when I send the google form for pre-enrollment for next year. We visited with the entire 6th grade last week about all of this already. I will visit with the entire 7th grade tomorrow morning during Homebase. There are 8 "core" hours built into the day so please know that everything you choose, you may not get. Academic need will take precedence in every child's schedule and then we will build what their schedule will be from that point of view. We will do what's best academically for our students first.
All 7/8 will have Math, Science, Reading, Writing, Humanities already built into their schedule.
All 7th graders have to take a physical education course so I need you to decide if you want PE or weights. 8th graders are not required to take a physical education class but I personally highly encourage everyone to.
Students have several electives to choose from. Band, vocal, shop, art and contemporary band.
Shop consists of one nine weeks of each of the following (small engines, welding, drafting and beginning woodworking.)
Art is with Mrs. Conrady and is a self-paced format.
Contemporary Band is with Mr. Anderson and is for those students who might be interested in learning an instrument other than what might be in a classical band, i.e. guitar, piano, etc.
Intro to Ag is only for 8th graders, so don't select that as a choice unless you are in 8th grade.
It is important you rank in order of preference the electives you want. If you choose band or vocal, those will take priority over other electives.
If you have any questions please reach out.
I will ensure that all students have their pre-enrollment form completed by next Monday May 20th. Below is the google form link and I will also post on social media.
