Lady Bronc Softball had our End of the Year Banquet. This is always a sad time because this is when we say goodbye to our Seniors, who will be missed and has had a huge impact on our program. This is also when we get to recognize all of our players and all of our accomplishments for the year, This year the Lady Broncs finished HPL League Champs. This was a goal we set out to do this year and we completed it. This was a huge accomplishment for our girls.
Jara Davison, Moriah Ortiz, and Lileah Villa were recognized as 1st Team All- League Players.
Kinzie Lohman-Fuller, Brianna Holmes, and Elitza Fonseca were recognized as 2nd Team All-League Players.
Moriah Ortiz was voted as MVP for our team by her Teammates and it is well deserved for her hard work and dedication she put in this season as well as the leadership role she has taken on for the girls.
Taybree Lohman-Fuller was voted Rookie of the Year by her teammates. Taybree was put into a role at the beginning of the year with not a lot of experience and she flourished, she was coachable, she learned her position, and she played it well. Not to mention her hitting was on point this season.
We cannot thank all of these girls for playing for us. As coaches we ask the girls to try hard and be coachable. This group is one to remember. Although we hate to see the season end, we are proud of the accomplishments and cannot wait to see what these girls continue to do in the future.

On Thursday and Friday half of our 8th graders traveled to Colorado Springs for the first 8th grade promotional trip. We went to Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, a trampoline park, got a tour of the cadet area at the United States Air Force Academy, and finished out our time at the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. Students did not have to attend, but if they wanted to, they had to meet certain requirements in regard to their academics as well as their character. With this being the first time ever doing something like this, it was a complete success!
Thank you Ms. Kayla Calkins for organizing all of the details and logistics. Thank you Mr. Cody Calkins for saying yes and for being our fearless bus driver! Thank you to all of the staff, sponsors, parents and business that helped in a variety of ways to make it a success! A special shout out to Lakin Group, The Agency, Inc. and Pioneer Communications for donating to this trip!
