Coach’s Comments: Wow! What a meet! We arrived in Scott with only one experienced forensics member. The rest of the veterans had other commitments. As I coach, I just thought, “What an awesome learning experience for these rookies.” To have this entire team competing against so many experienced students and still bring home medals is quite remarkable. At the end of the day, medals mean very little to me. These students are building life skills through these speaking and acting events, and they’re having a lot of fun in the process. I can’t wait to take these students to the next meet.
