Cross country competes in Wichita

The cross country teams traveled east Saturday to compete in the Wichita Trinity Wild Wind XC Festival.
The high school boys finished ninth of 16 teams, while the girls finished fifth of 11 teams.
Leading the girls was sophomore Kate Miller in fourth, running 19:37.30. Freshman Jeci Mead finished sixth in 20:02.20.
Winning time was 18:32.50 by Tylee Coleman of Wichita Trinity.
Emma Miller (38), Honey Murillo (47), Claire Barnhardt (50), Tess Barnhardt (57) and Tynslee Wideman (76) rounded out the girls lineup.
Freshman Miles Delgado led the boys with a 12th-place finish, running 17:28.00. Gavin Dyas was 24th (17:52.91).
Winning time was 16:39.70 by Gavin Lindahl of Wichita Trinity.
Josiah Sholtz (71), Brantley Martin (91), Clark Maddux (94), Blake Vasquez (100) and Tyler Johnson (135) rounded out the Broncs boys.
Jonathan Gannett led the middle school boys, finishing the 2-mile course in 11:25.40. Luke Miller placed sixth (12:39.90).
