Boys claim league track title

The boys track team won the HPL meet in Syracuse Friday.
The Broncs scored 185 points to out-distance runner-up Stanton County’s 141.
Quincy Esquibel won titles in both the long jump (21-10) and triple jump (41-8).
Aydyn Holloway was second in both those events (19-3 and 41-8).
Esquibel placed third in the 110m hurdles, running 16.44 seconds.
Jesse Lancaster won the pole vault, clearing 13-0. Cade Berning was second (11-6) and Zael Bermudez sixth (10-0).
Bermudez won the 1600m title, running in 4:48.27. Gavin Dyas was fifth (5:09.45).
The Broncs went 1-2-3 in the 3200m. Camden Bergkamp won in 11:00.66. Bermudez was second in 11:00.81. And Dyas placed third in 11:02.83.
Cole Larkan was second in the 200m dash, running 22.77 seconds. He was fourth in the 100m dash, running 11.34 seconds.
Camden Bergkamp finished second in the 800m (2:11.52). Josiah Sholtz was fourth (2:17.81).
Adriel Clymer placed third in the long jump (18-10.5) and fourth in the high jump (5-8).
In the shot put, Cage Line placed third (41-2.5), Norian Cantu fourth (40-8) and Devin Wozenkraft fifth (39-5).
Line was also third in the javelin, throwing 131-1.
In the shot put, Owen Ostberg was fourth (110-11) and Aiden Fisher sixth (107-8).
The 4x800 relay of Bergkamp, Bermudez, Dyas and Sholtz won, running 9:00.29.
The 4x100 relay of Holloway, Larkan, Lancaster and Esquibel placed second, running 44:48 seconds.
The 4x400 relay of Clymer, Larkan, Line and Holloway finished fourth in 3:44.05.
