Golf finishes 2nd at HPL

The Lakin golf team fared well Thursday at the league golf meet at Buffalo Dunes Golf Course.
The Broncs finished second as a team and placed three golfers in the top five.
The team carded a 351 for second place behind champion Syracuse’s 329.
Elkhart was third at 357, Sublette fourth at 399 and Wichita County fifth at 430.
Charlie Keller of Syracuse beat out teammate Brock Keller by one stroke, 77 to 78.
Lakin’s Zavian Richter finished third at 83. Brennen Bless and Brayson Hoover both shot 84 for fourth and fifth place.
Peyton Odom shot 100, Manny Gonzales 103 and Bryan Contreras 127.
Next up for the Broncs is the 3A substate in Colby Monday.
