Girls win home track

The Lakin girls performed well at their home meet Friday, winning the meet with 100 points.
Scott City finished second in the 12-team field with 75 points.
Aryn Michaelis got two wins. She took the 100m hurdles in 15.46 seconds, and she cleared 37-6.5 to win the triple jump.
Michaelis picked up a second place in the long jump, going 17-10.5.
Kate Miller picked up a win in the 3200m, running in 12:32.39. She was second in the 1600m (5:23.77) and third in the 800m (2:31.97).
Emma Miller finished second in the 3200m (13:20.85). She was also sixth in the 1600m (6:14.67).
Third places went to Marisa Aller in the discus (93-1) and Taegan Bachman in the javelin (98-11). Jordan McCombs picked up a third in the 100m hurdles (17.13).
Fourth place went to Amari Esquibel in the 100m dash (12.80 seconds) and to Honey Murillo in the 100m hurdles (17.53).
Desi White was fifth in the javelin (96-5). Aubrie Yakel finished sixth (92-8). Aller was sixth in the shot put (30-11).
The 4x100 relay of McCombs, Michaelis, Claire Barnhardt and Esquibel finished third in 51.68 seconds.
The 4x400 relay of Barnhardt, Esquibel, Sydny Holloway and Isabella VanDerKnaap placed fifth (4:31.81).
