Eighth grade track first, second at Sublette

The eighth grade track teams scored well at the Sublette meet Tuesday.

The girls placed first of 11 teams with 100 points, with Wichita County second with 93.

The boys placed second among 10 teams with 113 points. Holcomb was first with 146.

Eighth grade girls

Kamry Michaelis led the Broncs with four individual titles.

She won both hurdle races, taking the 100-meters in 17.54 seconds and the 200-meters in 32.26.

Michaelis won the high jump, clearing 5-0. She also took the triple jump, going 33-6.

Tess Barnhardt to the title in the 100-meters, running 14.06 seconds. She was third in the 200-meters (29.84).

Lanee Waechter was third in the 100-meters (14.29). Ryann Bamberger was third in the 100-meter hurdles (19.21).

Tynslee Wideman was fourth in the 1600-meters (6:59.26). Yareli Altamirano was fourth in the discus (30-1.75).

Finishing fifth were Tatum Rodd in the 400-meters (1:13.81), Kai Calkins in the triple jump (28-6), and Waechter and Briseis Ornelas in the pole vault (7-0).

Finishing sixth were Altamirano in the 1600-meters (7:23.85) and Bamberger in the 200-meter hurdles (37.14).

The 4x100 relay team of Waechter, Daniella Villa, Widemann and Ornelas was second (57.91).

The 4x400 relay team of Bamberger, Villa, Calkins and Rodd was fourth (4:57.45).

The 4x200 relay team of Widemann, Rodd, Villa and Waechter placed fifth (2:07.87).

Eighth grade boys

Miles Delgado led the boys with two titles. He won the 1600-meters in 5:28.47 and the 3200-meters in 11:14.99. He was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles (17.81).

Blaine Sperry won the long jump, going 16-10. He was fourth in the 100-meters (12.78).

Sperry, Emanuel Valle, David Villa and Rigo Rodrigues won the 4x100 relay (50.18).

Rodrigues was third in the 200-meter hurdles (30.61). Luke Woodrow was third in the pole vault (7-6).

Valle was fourth in the high jump (5-0). Villa was fourth in the triple jump (36-10). Jaden Valle was fourth in the javelin (101-2).

Fifth place went to Rodrigues in the 100-meters (12.87), Emanuel Valle in the 400-meters (1:00.58), Zander Hallmark in the pole vault (6-6), Dylan Wozenkraft in the discus (35-10.5) and Karson Lovelady in the javelin (100-7).

Jaden Valle was sixth in the long jump (15-1) and triple jump (33-11). Calvin Gugelmeyer was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles (19.90).

The 4x200 relay of David Villa, Aaron Kiesel, Gugelmeyer and Kraig Wilson was second (1:50.46).

The 4x400 relay of Delgado, Sperry, Emanuel Valle and Jace Berning finished second (4:09.08).
