Baseball Cimarron

Lakin baseball went on the road Monday, falling to Cimarron 15-5 and 10-0.

In the first game, the Bluejays erupted for six runs in the second and three more in the third before the Broncs got on the board.

In the third, Weston Loeppke, who went 3-for-3 at the plate, hit a single and Cimarron committed an error that scored Eli Bemis. Angel Davila singled in Loeppke for another score.

Lakin scored three more in the fifth, highlighted by a Jayden Johnson double that scored Davila.

Lakin committed seven of their nine errors within the first four innings.

Davila got the start, going two innings. Of the six runs scored against him, none were earned.

Wyatt Burch pitched one and two-thirds innings, giving up one earned run and striking out four.

In game two, Cimarron scored twice to take a 2-0 lead after three innings. They added single runs in the next two innings to go up 4-0. They added six more runs in the sixth.

Lakin committed five errors and stranded three runners. Bemis and Johnson had one hit each for the Broncs.

Eli Bemis started, going three and one-third innings. He gave up four hits and three runs (one earned), striking out three and walking none.

Loeppke pitched two and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs (two earned).
