Softball Cimarron

The softball team hosted Cimarron Monday on senior night. Lakin lost the first game 9-4 but took the nightcap 12-2.
In game one, Lakin led 2-1 after one inning, but the Bluejays scored four runs in the top of the third, tagging on three more runs over the next three innings.
Skin got two runs in the first on an RBI single from Kiah Beymer, who then scored four batters later via an error.
Aydrah Rosales scored on a passed ball in the fifth and Beymer scored on an error in the sixth.
Beymer went the distance. Of Cimarron's nine runs, only three were earned. She struck out three and walked three.
In game two, Lakin scored twice in the first and five more times in the second to take an early 7-1 lead.
Lileah Villa’s two-out single in the first drove in Sara Martinez.
In the second, Beymer drove in two runs with a single. Later in the inning, Martinez scored on a steal of home, with Beymer following with her own steal of home.
Beymer hit a sacrifice fly to plate one run and Martinez scored on a wild pitch to make it 9-1 after six.
Villa finished the game 3-for-4 at the plate.
Beymer got the win, giving up just three hits and two runs (none earned), striking out four and walking three. She also led the team with three runs batted in.
