Baseball takes two from Trojans

The baseball team took a pair of games from the Trojans at Stanton County Monday, 10-4 and 10-5.
In game one, Lakin trailed 2-1 heading into the fifth inning, where they scored five runs on four hits, taking advantage of a two-run error.
Eli Bemis, who had a triple at the plate, got the win, giving up six hits and four runs (only one earned) over six inning. He struck out seven and walked three.
Bemis, Remey Perez and Kyle Douglas each had two hits, and Bemis and Douglas each drove in two runs.
Perez two of Lakin’s seven stolen bases. Both teams committed six errors.
In game two, Lakin scored four runs in the first and four in the fifth to get the win.
Wyatt Burch had three runs batted in and he and Jayden Johnson both had a pair of hits. Weston Loeppke had a double.
Angel Davila pitched five and two-thirds innings, giving up a bunch of 4’s: four hits, four runs, four strikeouts and four walks.
