Middle school girls 4th, 5th at Holcomb

The middle school girls track teams competed Friday in Holcomb. The eighth grade girls finished fourth and the seventh grade fifth.

Eighth grade girls

The girls scored 64 points to place fourth among 11 teams. Scott City won the meet with 122 points.

Kamry Michaelis won three events. She cleared the high jump, going 5-2. She won the triple jump, going 34-4.5. And she won the 100-meter hurdles in 16.84 seconds.

She was second in the 200-meter hurdles, finishing in 31.16 seconds.

Tess Barnhardt placed fourth in two events. She won the 100-meters in 13.74 seconds, and she won the 200-meters in 29.23 seconds.

Lance Waechter placed twice. She was fourth in the pole vault, clearing 8-0, and she finished the 100-meters in 13.94 seconds.

Yareli Altamirano was seventh in the shot put, throwing 31-6.

The 4x800 relay team (Briseis Ornelas, Altamirano, Tynslee Wideman and Daniella Villa) finished third in 12:47.28.

The 4x100 relay (Renata Quinones, Wideman, Kai Calkins and Waechter) finished fourth in 55.85.

The 4x200 relay (Quinones, Villa, Rodd and Waechter) finished fourth in 2:02.59.

The 4x400 relay (Kai Calkins, Villa, Ryann Bamberger and Rodd) finished fourth in 4:54.12.

Seventh grade girls

The seventh grade team finished fifth among 11 teams with 46 points. Horace Good MS was first with 135 points.

Joleigh Lohman-Fuller placed in three events. She was second in the high jump (4-6), third in the 100-meter hurdles (18.48 seconds) and fifth in the 400-meters (1:10.83).

Kirby Koons was second in two events. She finished the 1600-meters in 6:15.07 and the 3200-meters in 13:13.36.

Tayleigh Yakel placed twice. She was third in the shot put (30-0.75) and fourth in the discus (61-7).

The 4x100 relay (Koons, Finnly Jones, Lohman-Fuller and Mya Acevedo) finished fourth in 58.61 seconds.
