Middle school boys 3rd, 7th at Holcomb meet

The middle school boys competed Friday in Holcomb, with the seventh grade team finishing third and the eighth grade team finishing seventh.
Seventh grade boys
The team finished third of 11 teams with 74.5 points. Hays MS won with 165.
Armani Salcido won two titles. He went 16-10.5 to win the long jump and took the 200-meters in 26.43 seconds. He was fifth in the 100-meters (13.28).
Brelund Budd won the discus, throwing 99-1. He was fourth int eh shot put, throwing 33-11.
Luke Miller was second in the 100-meter hurdles, clocking in at 18.5 seconds. He was third in the 3200-meters (11:42.96). Miller was fourth in the 800-meters (2:37.05).
Jonathan Gannett was second in the 3200-meters (11:42.78) and third in the 1600-meters (5:27.71).
Jacob Asebedo was third in the high jump, clearing 4-10.
Owen Dyas was sixth in the pole vault (7-0) and Kingston Guerrero was sixth in the 3200-meters (13:17.47).
The 4x100 team (Dyas, Salcido, Asebedo and Wilson) finished third in 53.42 seconds.
The 4x400 relay (Gannett, Kobe Wilson, Troy Hamm and Miller) finished fifth in 4:48.34).
Eighth grade boys
The boys finished seventh with 44 points. Hays MS won with 166.
Mies Delgado won two titles. He took the 100-meters hurdles in 16.98 seconds. He also won the 1600-meters in 4:59.74. He finished second in the 800-meters (2:18.95).
Rigo Rodrigues took the title in the 200-meters (25.01 seconds). He placed third in the 200-meter hurdles (28.06) and sixth in the 100-meters (12.25).
Dylan Wozenkraft was fourth in the shot put (37-7) and Emanuel Valle was fifth in the 400-meters (59.04).
The 4x100 relay (Blaine Sperry, Valle, Wyatt Eck and David Villa) finished third in 48.58 seconds.
The 4x400 relay (Delgado, Jace Berning, Emanuel Valle and Eck) finished fourth in 4:14.43.
The 4x800 relay (Clark Maddux, Luke Woodrow, Jaden Valle and Blake Vasquez) was sixth in 10:39.98.
