Softball gets two wins over Sublette

The softball team got after it Monday at home, taking games against Sublette 4-2 and 22-14.
In game one, freshman Kiah Beymer put on a dominant pitching performance, striking out 13 in the Broncs 4-2 win.
Beymer scattered six hits and gave up just two runs over seven innings.
Lakin scored twice on an error in the first inning and added a third run in the third when Lileah Villa walked.
Beymer had Lakin’s lone hit, and the Broncs committed five errors. Only one of Lakin’s runs was earned.
Game two was a high-scoring affair. Sublette scored seven times in the second and four in the third to take an 11-7 lead after three.
But the Broncs rebounded in a huge way in the fourth, scoring 13 runs.
In that inning, Lakin got seven hits, a walk and two errors in their first 10 at-bats, scoring seven times.
Avery Greer and Villa both had a pair of doubles, and Taybree Lohman-Fuller had another.
Lohman-Fuller went 3-for-3 at the plate. Villa was 3-for-4.
Sara Martinez drove in three runs, and four other girls knocked in a pair each.
Taegan Oldham started for the Broncs. Beymer pitched the final five innings, giving up just three runs (none earned), while striking out six.
