Lakin track sweeps Sublette

The Lakin track and field teams continued their unbeaten streaks, with both the girls and boys winning a pre-league meet in Sublette Monday.
The girls placed first among seven teams with 159 points, ahead of Stanton County’s 98.
The girls placed first among six teams with 162 points, out-distancing Stanton County’s 147.
Both teams have won at all three meets this season.
Girls results
Aryn Michaelis picked up three individual wins. The junior took the 100-meter hurdles in 15.93 seconds, the high jump (5-4) and the triple jump (36-8.5).
Kate Miller won the 3200-meters in 12:33.05. She was second in the 800-meters (2:29.91).
Taegan Oldham won the javelin, throwing 106-5.
Amari Esquibel was second in the 200-meters (17.92) and third in the 100-meters (13.37).
Emma Miller finished second in the 3200-meters (14:16.92) and third in the 1600-meters (6:29.390.
Marissa Aller was third in the discus (95-1) and third in the shot put (30-9.5).
Isabella VanDerKnaap was third in triple jump (32-5.5). Jordan McCombs was third in the 100-meter hurdles (17.87).
Aubrie Yakel was fourth in the discus (85-7) and shot put (28-10). Honey Murillo was fourth in the 300-meter hurdles (55.71).
The 4x100 relay finished first in 52.07 seconds. The 4x400 team finished second (4:50.88) and the 4x800 was second (12:05.93).
Boys results
The boys picked up just three golds but eight runners-up in winning the team title.
Gavin Dyas won the 3200-meters in 11:32.57. Kanon Woodrow was third (12:01.15).
Quincy Esquibel won the triple jump, clearing 39-2. He was second in the long jump (19-0) and the 110-meter hurdles (16.32).
Jesse Lancaster won the pole vault, clearing 13-0.
Cole Larkan finished second in the 200-meters (22.87) and third in the 100-meters (11.89).
Josiah Sholtz was second in the 800-meters (2:18.33). Blake Matthews was third (2:19.47).
Miguel Rosales was second in the javelin, throwing 117-10. Cage Line was fourth (109-9).
Finishing third were Line in the shot put (42-10), Aydyn Holloway in the 200-meters (24.44), and Owen Ostberg in the discus (122-11). Adriel Clymer was fourth in the high jump (5-8).
All three relays finished second: 4x100 (46.58), 4x400 (3:48.17) and 4x800 (9:36.06).
