Robles advances to state wrestling

Lakin competed at the Class 3-1A regional wrestling meet in Norton Saturday, qualifying one to the state meet.
Alex Robles qualified by placing third at 144 pounds.
Robles won by fall (23 seconds) over Brody Beckman of Oakley. He had won his first two rounds by fall before losing a 5-2 decision in sudden victory in the semifinals.
He will be the lone Bronc wrestler at the state meet, which starts Friday at Fort Hays State University.
In other action, Tyler Johnson went 2-2 at 106 pounds, losing his final match in the consolation semifinals.
Eliez Rameriz went 0-2 at 113 pounds.
At 120 pounds, Rommel Rodriguez lost his first round but won three straight matches in the consolation rounds, losing in the consolation semifinals.
At 126, Zael Bermudez went 2-2, losing in the consolation semifinals.
At 132, Gavin Dyas went 0-2.
At 150, Remey Perez went 1-2, losing in the second consolation round.
James Kiesel went 0-2 at 157.
