Girls win Kearny County battle

The Lakin girls finished the regular season Friday night with a 64-20 win at Deerfield.
The Broncs opened the game with a 23-0 lead after one quarter, which became 41-8 by halftime.
Latin shot 48 percent from the floor (Deerfield converted 23 percent), including 27 of 51 inside the arc.
Deerfield committed 36 turnovers leading to 40 points for Lakin.
Lakin won the rebounding, 29-28.
Aryn Michaelis led the Broncs with 17 points. Kate Miller added 10 and Amari Esquibel eight.
Michaelis had six rebounds and Taegan Oldham five.
Lileah Villa had five assists. She, Miller and Michaelis each had six steals.
Lakin ended the regular season 17-4.
