Boys trap Wildcats

The Lakin boys followed up winning the league tournament title with an easy 82-44 road win over Elkhart Friday.
Lakin raced to a 34-13 lead after just one quarter and led 50-22 by halftime in getting their fourth win in a row.
The Broncs converted 58 percent from the floor with 32 field goals (four from 3-point range).
Thirteen Elkhart turnovers led to 19 of Lakin’s points. The Broncs also out-scored the Wildcats 52-24 in the paint.
Lakin won the rebound battle, 40-21.
Nine Broncs got in the scoring column, led by Flo Canac’s 27 points, followed by Jesse Peregrino’s 11.
Reed Bemis and Cage Line both had seven rebounds. Bemis added three assists.
