Forensics opens season

After a postponement last weekend, the forensics team got its season started Saturday at a meet in Garden City, where they qualified six entries to finals.
Maelee Katz and Tanya Roman took first in Improvised Duet Acting (IDA), qualifying for State Champs later this season.
It was the pair’s first time competing in that event.
Camden Bergkamp and Zael Bermudez placed fourth in IDA. The duo also placed second in Duet Acting.
Jarrod Hilger and Abby Holmes placed third in Duet Acting, and Cheyenne Grusing and Addison Grusing placed fourth.
Katz also placed sixth in Serious Solo.
Lakin placed fourth as a team.
Next meet is Feb. 7 in Holcomb.
