Holcomb boys take down Broncs

Laking played Holcomb close through much of the first half, but they eventually fell at home to Holcomb Tuesday, 65-32.
The Broncs led 11-8 after one quarter and held a 19-16 late in the second quarter before Holcomb took control.
Leading 25-19 at halftime, Holcomb outscored the Broncs 28-8 in the third quarter to pull away and remain undefeated.
Lakin shot 31 percent from the floor (11 of 28 inside the arc), and Holcomb shot 43 percent (14 of 33 from 2-point range).
Lakin was just 3 of 17 from 3-point range, while Holcomb shot a blistering 11 of 25.
Lakin’s 21 turnovers led to 23 of Holcomb’s points.
Holcomb led the rebounding, 35-26.
Flo Canac scored 16 points and three assists to lead the Broncs.
Norian Cantu had six rebounds. Reed Bemis and Jesse Peregrino had three assists.
