Girls improve to 5-1

The Lakin girls head into the holiday break with a 5-1 record after taking down Dodge City on the road Friday, 55-30.
Trailing Dodge City 13-5 after one period, the Broncs took a 20-18 lead at halftime and led 40-26 after three.
The Broncs shot 59 percent from the floor, while the Red Demons converted just 15 percent.
Lakin forced 13 turnovers, leading to a 16-1 edge on points.
Aryn Michaelis had a huge game, scoring 17 points and pulling down 13 rebounds.
Lileah Villa had nine assists and four steals.
The Broncs will host Garden City January 6 and travel to Syracuse January 9 to resume after break.
