Football takes down Larned

The football team improved to 3-5 with a 30-22 road win at Larned Friday.
The Broncs scored once in the first quarter and twice more in the second to take a 22-0 lead before Larned got on the board.
Eli Bemis scored on runs of 4, 5 and 2 yards. Alex Robles scored once on a 44-yard run.
The Indians closed to 22-16 in the third before the Broncs scored on a 44-yard run.
Lakin out gained Larned 289 yards to 211, with 285 of those on the ground.
The Broncs had 19 first downs, converting 8-of-10 third downs, while holding Larned to just 10 first downs.
Bemis had 146 yards on 27 carries. Robles rushed for 99 yards on 13 carries.
Bemis led the team with four solo tackles and six assists. He had one tackle for loss and one sack. Jayden Johnson also had a tackle for loss.
Lakin (3-5) will travel to Beloit (5-3) Friday for playoffs.
