Football falls against Hoisington

Friday’s home game against Hoisington proved frustrating as the Broncs fell 70-0 against the Cardinals.
Hoisington out-gained Lakin 465 yards to 62, which included 358 on the ground and 107 in the air.
Hoisington score four times in the opening quarter, twice on long run plays (69 and 41 yards), once on a 2-yard run and once on a 9-yard pass.
The Cardinals scored four more times in the second, three times on short runs and once on a 36-yard pass play. They led 58-0 at halftime.
They scored once in the third period (18-yard run) and once in the fourth (60-yard run).
The Broncs turned the ball over four times, including three fumbles.
Hoisington had 13 first downs to Lakin’s six.
Alex Robles and Eli Bemis led the team with 23 rushing yards. Bemis assisted on 11 tackles, and Robles had three solo tackles, one sack, and two tackles for loss.
