Football falls at Hugoton

After a close start to the game, the Broncs fell in week three at Hugoton, 62-7 Friday.

Hugoton scored first on a 48-yard run, but Lakin tied the game on a 3-yard run by Alex Robles early in the first quarter.

From there, it was all Eagles. Hugoton scored on five different running plays to end the first half with a 42-7 lead. Hugoton scored on three more run plays in the second half.

Lakin gained 199 yards on 52 plays, while the Eagles amassed 443 yards on just 30, 403 of those yards on the ground.

Robles led the Broncs on the ground with 91 yards on 21 carries. Brian Moreno had 39 yards on five carries.

Robles had the lone pass reception, 42 yards from Reed Bemis.

Eli Bemis was part of six tackles to lead the Broncs. Moreno and Jayden Johnson were part of four tackles each.

The Broncs (1-2) will host Cimarron Friday for homecoming.
