Boys place second in home meet

The boys had nine gold medals in their home meet Friday, placing second among 10 teams.

Scott City won with 160.2 points, while Lakin finished second with 155.6.

Colter Oldham won all three throwing events.

Oldham threw 62-2 to win the shot put, 174-0.5 to win the discus and 168-2 to win the javelin.

Tyelor Holloway won the 110-meter hurdles (14.83 seconds) and the 300-meter hurdles (41.93).

Ross Rider won the long jump (22.5) and the triple jump (45-2).

Also winning gold were Austin Ritsema in the high jump (6-5) and the 4x100 relay (Quincy Esquibel, Holloway, Armando Salcido and Rider) in 43.86 seconds.

Esquibel finished second in the 110-meter hurdles, the long jump and the triple jump.

Salcido was second in the 200-meter dash. Zael Bermudez was second in the 3200 meters. And the 4x200 relay of Adyn Holloway, Tyelor Holloway, Rider and Salcido placed second.

Jesse Lancaster placed third in the pole vault. Camden Bergkamp finished fourth in the 1600 meters, as did the 4x800 relay.
