Girls second, boys third at Holcomb meet

The track teams competed in Holcomb Friday, with the girls finishing second and the boys second.
The girls scored 88 points among 11 teams, with Garden City winning with 166 points.
The boys scored 80 points among 10 teams, with Holcomb winning with 133 points and Garden City second with 93.
Aryn Michaelis won three individual titles. She took the 100-meter hurdles in 15.96 seconds, the high jump by clearing 5-2, and the triple jump by leaping 36-8.
Alyssa Edgington won the pole vault, clearing 10-0. She finished second in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump.
Emma Miller finished second in the 1600-meter run (6:01.60) and the 3200-meter run (13:13.32).
Jordan McCombs finished third in the 100-meter hurdles. Amari Esquibel was fifth in the 100-meter dash, and Marissa Allen finished fifth in the shot put.
The 4x100 relay finished second.
Austin Ritsema captured two gold medals. He won the 1600-meter run in 4:48.37 and cleared 6-4 to win the high jump. He was second in the 3200-meter run (9:42.80).
Ross Rider won the triple jump, leaping 43-10.
Tyelor Holloway finished second in the 110-meter hurdles (14.66 seconds), second in the 300-meter hurdles (41.58).
Quincy Esquibel finished second in the long jump (20-3), third in the 110-meter hurdles, and fourth in the triple jump.
Timmy Johnson finished fifth in the 110-meter hurdles.
