Boys take second with six titles at Scott City

The boys track and field team took seven individual gold medals on their way to second place Tuesday at the 88th annual Scott City Relays.
Scott City won the meet with 136 points. Lakin scored 120 in the 14-team field.
Austin Ritsema won three titles. The senior cleared 6-2 to win the high jump. He ran 2:02.46 to take the 800-meter run and 10:42.03 to take the 3200 meters.
Ross Rider won two titles. He jumped 22-4.25 to take the long jump and 44-11.5 to win the triple jump.
Colter Oldham three 177-1 to win the discus and 55-9 to win the shot put.
Taking second place were Quincy Esquibel in the triple jump (42-7.5) and the 4x100 relay.
Taking third were Camden Bergkamp in the 1600-meter run, Zael Bermudez in the 3200 meters (11:10.24), and Tyelor Holloway in the 110-meter hurdles (15.02).
Esquibel finished fourth in the long jump, and the 4x800 relay finished fourth.
