Boys track dominates at Wichita County

The boys track team won 13 events to easily win Monday’s meet at Wichita County.

The Broncs ran away with the meet with 238 points, well ahead of runner-up Sublette’s 82 in the six-team meet.

Colter Oldham won all three of his throwing events. The junior won the discus with a throw of 176-9, the javelin (164-5) and the shot put (54-6).

Tyelor Holloway won both hurdle events, taking the 110-meters in 15.98 seconds and the 300-meters in 44.82.

Alex Luce won the 800-meter run in 2:02.32 and the 1600 meters in 5:03.92. He was third in the 3200 meters.

Austin Ritsema won the 3200 meters in 11:55.75. He also won the high jump, clearing 6-2. He was second in the 1600-meters, just half a second behind Luce.

Ross Rider won the long jump, going 19-8.

Javion Granado won the pole vault, clearing 12-6. He was third in the 400-meter dash (56.96).

All three relay teams claimed first place. The 4x100 ran 44.80 seconds, the 4x400 3:39.97, and the 4x800 9:01.55.

Armando Salcido was second in the 100-meter dash (12.06 seconds) and the 200-meter dash (24.26).

Quincy Esquibel was second in the 110-hurdles (16.24) and the long jump (19-5.5).

Jesse Lancaster was second in the pole vault (10-0) and Timmy Johnson was second in the 300 hurdles (46.17).

Placing third were Adan Vazquez in the 800-meter run and Lucas McCombs in the javelin.
