Broncs take down Spartans

In the battle for Kearny County, Lakin was victorious at Deerfield Friday, 81-30.
Lakin hit for 34 field goals—13 of those in the opening quarter—on their way to the lopsided win.
The Broncs raced to a 31-7 lead after one quarter and 47-17 at halftime. A 26-6 third period led to a running clock in the fourth as Lakin improved to 15-4 for the season.
The Broncs shot 52 percent from the floor but 67 percent from two-point range.
Lakin forced Deerfield into 33 turnovers, leading to 42 points. Deerfield caused 15 turnovers, leading to just three points.
Lakin won the rebound battle 38-18.
Fourteen Broncs got into the scoring column. Austin Ritsema led the team with 15 points and Colter Oldham had 12.
Alex Davis led with five rebounds. Adrik Gomez-Esquibel had five assists and MJ Gonzales had four steals.
