Lakin girls take out Deerfield

Lakin used its size and speed Friday night to take down Deerfield on the road, 56-18.
The Broncs jumped out to an 18-8 lead after a quarter and led 36-11 by halftime. A 14-5 third period led to a running clock in the fourth.
The Broncs shot 43 percent from the floor, holding Deerfield to under 17 percent.
On transition plays, Lakin outscored the Spartans 24-0.
Deerfield’s 28 turnovers led to 38 of Lakin’s points. The Broncs committed just 13 turnovers.
Lakin won the rebound battle 31-22.
Senior Jara Davidson had 17 points and freshman Lileah Villa 15 to lead the Broncs.
Kenzie Lohman-fuller led the team with six rebounds. Villa had four assists and Jordan McCombs had four steals.
