Girls struggle in Throwback game

The Lakin girls struggled to find the basket last Tuesday as they fell to one of the top-ranked teams in the state, Goodland, 51-28 on Throwback Night.
Lakin hit its only field goal early in the first quarter to take a 2-0 lead.
The Broncs did not score again until the third period, when Goodland was ahead 33-2.
The Broncs were just 1 of 12 shooting in the first half and didn’t get to the free throw line.
In the second half, Lakin had improved their shots, converting 10 of 22 attempts.
Goodland forced 32 Lakin turnovers, leading to 30 of their points.
Lakin won the rebounds, 27-25.
Jara Davidson had 10 points and Jordan McCombs 7 to lead Lakin.
Samantha Vogel had nine rebounds and six steals, and Lileah Villa had four assists.
